Intra-Office Memo: Hashimoto’s

OUI CLINICAL PEARL O’ THE WEEK

Elevated TPO antibody? Even with a normal TSH/T3/T4, it could represent early stage Hashimoto’s! Oui are seeing autoimmune symptoms and thyroid abnormalities MORE AND MORE.

OUI TREAT THIS WITH AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY REGIMEN!

After 3 months, repeat lab. If still elevated, refer to Endocrinology!

(If insurance, Oui refer to Dr. Albritton or Dr. Kimball-Ravari because I have them both on speed dial!)

Regimen:

  • 2 Reacted Magnesium pills every evening. Lowers inflammation, supports muscle recovery, promotes better sleep, and is better than Mag Glycinate alone.
  • ORTHOMEGA, 1 pill nightly. Medical-grade fish oil is the best anti-inflammatory especially when it comes to vasculature
  • ORTHOBIOTIC, 1 pill nightly.  Happy gut happy everything.
  • BRAZIL NUTS, 2 daily. Selenium is a powerful supporter of the body in the right doses. Do not exceed 2 per day
  • FIBER. SUN FIBER or 2 prunes daily.
  • Address MTHFR with Mitocore or Enlyte

Also, as you balance hormones, you help the thyroid out. Thyroid is MAMA HORMONE, so anything that helps hormones helps the Thyroid work less hard. Maybe she just tired!
